the garden legacy

The Garden Legacy is currently in development and will be launching soon. This is a slow, intentional art service designed to honour the time, care, and story behind your home garden by transforming its blooms into a one-of-a-kind framed heirloom. Each piece is created using flowers gathered from your own garden space and preserved over the growing season, resulting in a deeply personal work of art. Full details, availability, and booking information will be shared here.

Meet The Designer

Paje Honor

Paje Honor

My love for flowers began long before this project. For over a decade, I’ve been an avid macro flower photographer, drawn to the tiny details most people pass by, the texture of petals, the veins in leaves, the way colour shifts in light. Flowers became one of my favourite subjects because no two are ever the same, and because they're a gentle reminder of how beautiful and magical our world and mother nature truly are.

Over time, I found myself wanting to preserve them in a way that went beyond photography. Images are powerful, but I craved something tangible. Something that could be held, displayed, and lived with in a three-dimensional form.

In 2025, I was fortunate enough to begin my flower preservation journey as a freelancer at Pressed in Time Studio, Niagara’s premier flower preservation studio specializing in wedding and memorial heirlooms. The team there taught me everything I know about the art and techniques of flower preservation. I am endlessly grateful to work alongside such talented artists and genuinely caring, supportive people.

Being a multidisciplinary artist has shaped the way I approach this work. My background in photography, hair and makeup, and visual storytelling has given me a deep understanding of colour theory, texture, and composition. That foundation carries directly into every Garden Legacy piece I bring to life.

Each design is created slowly and intentionally. Every bloom is placed with purpose. The result is work that feels modern yet timeless, thoughtful, and entirely one of a kind.

The Garden Legacy is where all of these parts of me meet. A way to document beauty in a new form and turn real flowers into lasting pieces of art.

An Heirloom for Those Who
Tend their Land with Love

Your garden is not just a decoration.

It is patience. Memory. Ritual. Care.

Each season you nurture something living, often quietly, often for years. The Garden Legacy is a commissioned artwork created by collecting and preserving blooms and greenery directly from your home garden throughout the growing season, resulting in a one-of-a-kind framed botanical heirloom.

This is the story of your garden, told slowly, preserved

for future generations to cherish and appreciate.

THE PROCESS

garden legacy art illustrations_edited.p

I. The Garden Conversation

We begin with a private consultation, either in person or by phone, to learn:

- How long you’ve tended your garden

- Which plants hold meaning and why

- The rhythm of your growing season

- The feeling you want the final piece to evoke

- This conversation guides every creative decision.

Your garden is visited 3–4 times throughout the blooming season,

timed to natural peak moments:

- Spring emergence

- Early summer abundance

- Late summer maturity

- Optional autumn closing

From each visit, select flowers, foliage, seed heads, or herbs are gently collected.

II. Seasonal Flower Collection

III. Slow Preservation

All botanicals are preserved using time-honoured methods:

- Natural air-drying

- Traditional flower presses

- Silica Sand for three dimensional flower finishes

- No artificial colouring

This process honours the plant’s original character and requires patience,

just as gardening does.

Once preservation is complete, a custom fine-art composition is created:

- Balanced, intentional placement

- Consideration of colour, negative space, and seasonal flow

- Designed to feel archival, timeless, and gallery-worthy

No two pieces are ever repeated.

IV. Artistic Composition
